Wētā Workshop has just dropped a jaw‑dropping 1:4 scale Lara Croft: Quest for Avalon statue, celebrating the mythic allure of Tomb Raider: Underworld. This is a limited run of just 750 pieces, now open for pre‑order with delivery expected in Q1 2026.
Lara is frozen mid‑dive, harpoon gun in hand, muscles taut as she fends off circling sharks amidst a backdrop of coral‑encrusted ruins, drifting jellyfish and darting fish, every element crafted to evoke that trademark Underworld tension.
Senior 3D artist Jorgelina Yeme, assisted by Mauro Santini, sculpted the piece digitally. She describes the statue as "a poetry in motion… as if Lara is dancing with the sharks, weightless and fearless".
(Some fans noted creative liberties taken with Lara's design, pointing to her braid and necklace, suggesting a blend of Underworld with later "Unified" aesthetic cues.
