Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics have officially confirmed new cast members for the upcoming live-action Tomb Raider series produced for Amazon Prime Video. Filming is set to begin on January 19.
The series stars Sophie Turner as Lara Croft and is led by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who serves as creator, writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. She is joined by Chad Hodge as co-showrunner and executive producer.
New Actors Join the Tomb Raider Series
Amazon MGM Studios has now officially revealed which characters will be portrayed by the newly announced cast members in the upcoming Tomb Raider. Alongside familiar faces from Tomb Raider lore, the series will introduce several brand-new characters who will play key roles in the story.
- Martin Bobb-Semple is Zip, Lara Croft's tech-savvy ally
- Sigourney Weaver is Evelyn Wallis, a powerful figure determined to push Lara to the limits of her talents
- Jason Isaacs is Atlas DeMornay, Lara's uncle, previously known from Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Jack Bannon is Gerry, Lara's personal pilot
- John Heffernan is David, an exhausted government official who finds himself tangled up in Lara Croft's unusual world
- Bill Paterson is Winston, the trusted butler of the Croft family
Several newly introduced characters have also been detailed:
- Paterson Joseph is Thomas Warner, a senior government official brought in to clean up an almighty mess
- Sasha Luss is Sasha, a fierce and deeply competitive new adversary of Lara Croft
- Juliette Motamed is Georgia, a devoted, by-the-books curator at the British Museum, dedicated to the "proper" preservation of history
- Celia Imrie is Francine, Head of Advancement at the British Museum, focused solely on raising funds — and champagne glasses
- August Wittgenstein is Lukas, an illegal raider who shares a complicated past with Lara Croft in more ways than one.
