Peter Connelly (composer of Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and Angel of Darkness) has relaunched his Kickstarter to generate funding for his newest project: to remake, extend, re-record his finest soundtracks as a top-quality studio album. This time the campaign is smarter, more simplified, and more accessible.

About Kickstarter
Kickstarter is an online crowdfunding platform for creative projects. People ask for investment towards their project (in our case, a studio album called Tomb Raider: The Dark Angel Symphony PLUS all the remastered music for Tomb Raider 4, 5 and 6) by showing off what they want to do, how they plan to do it, and what the "funding goal" needs to be to make it all happen. Individuals across the world can then donate money towards the project by "backing" a certain amount, called a "pledge". These pledges include special goodies called "pledge rewards" – the more you donate, the more/better/more expensive the pledge rewards will be. In addition, each pledge "tier" includes everything that was in the tiers below it, e.g. pledge number 5 also includes everything that was in pledges 1–4 (unless otherwise stated.)
After the funding period (usually 30 days) is finished, and assuming the funding goal has been reached, the project organisers can then get on and create the item/service that they wanted funding AND produce the pledge rewards for their backers. Kickstarter is not a shop: products are not immediately available at the end of the funding campaign. The project managers will state exactly when they expect to deliver both the pledge rewards and the final product on their project page.
NOTE: Money is only debited from backers if the funding goal is reached. In other words, it’s "all or nothing". This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Tuesday, December 4 2018 11:59 PM UTC. If it does *not* reach its target, NONE of the backers will be charged ANY money at all.
Tomb Raider: The Dark Angel Symphony
For twenty years, fans of Tomb Raider have consistently held Connelly’s music up as some of the greatest ever produced in the history of this iconic gaming franchise. Poll after poll of fan opinion places Connelly’s music – especially the London Symphony Orchestra’s Abbey Road recording of Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness – in the top spot for its sweeping, emotional grandeur and technical complexity. Connelly himself, however, remains unsatisfied; at the time, he was unable to fully realise his vision for what these scores should sound like. This is especially true of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: Chronicles, when time, studio restraints and limited technology forced him to make many compromises. Fans have, therefore, never had the chance to travel through the full depth and scope of Connelly’s Tomb Raider musical journey as he would have us hear it.
At least, until now.
The Goal
The Main Goal is now for Peter Connelly to do ALL the musical work himself: remaking, rearranging and reimagining all the music in his studio. He will use synths, samplers and libraries to imitate an orchestra. This music will be The Dark Angel Symphony PLUS all the original music from Tomb Raider 4, 5 and 6 – remastered and included as separate CDs (they estimate 3–4 discs).
The Dark Angel Symphony and Remasters are no longer two separate pledge rewards: they are now one single reward.
Do not miss this! ;)
They have also scaled back their Main Goal but introduced Stretch Goals. This means that backers can still contribute towards the incredible ambitions we have for this album – such as bringing in Dr Niles, Tina Guo and Julie Elven – without worrying about the "all-or-nothing" dashing their hopes of ever hearing the music at all.
Pledges
The Kickstarter website only allows one pledge per login. To allow for this Connelly's team has created Bundles to help fans pledge for a variety of items (like Digital Downloads, CDs, Vinlys, Score, Posters, Pendants, Statuettes, T-shirts, and more). To enable an extra copy or extra different pledge this can be achieved by using an alternative email address. This can't be helped unfortunately. It's just the way the Kickstarter site works. There is also a cost for p&p in addition to the pledge value. These costs are actual calculated costs.
Tomb Raider: The Dark Angel Symphony CDs (includes Tomb Raider: Last Revelation/Chronicles/Angel of Darkness Remastered discs), Vinyl, 5.1 DVD, Signed A1 Poster, Full Score, T-shirts and Tank-tops can be purchased as an Add-On to an existing pledge.
