Netflix first announced that a Tomb Raider anime project is on its way back in January 2021. Now, the streaming service has finally unveiled the official teaser trailer for the much-anticipated series called Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
The Legend of Lara Croft (written by Tasha Huo) will follow the events of the reboot/survivor trilogy - a canon continuation of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The series will be animated by Powerhouse Animation which is behind Netflix's Castlevania anime series.
Rumors say there's going to be 8 episodes (in the first season?), approximately 22 minutes long each.
Golden Globe and Olivier nominated British-American stage and screen actor Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Agent Carter, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One) will be giving her voice to Lara Croft.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is set to premiere in 2024, only on Netflix. In the meantime, enjoy the official teaser above.
